Acer Liquid
Acer has recently introduced its first phone based on Android – one-piece device Liquid. Despite the emergence of official information, data on the technical side of new items are very scarce. Recently, Acer held a presentation of Liquid in France, thanks to which it became known more details about the new phone.
The first thing worth noting – contrary to the expectations set in Liquid Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will operate at a frequency of 768 MHz instead of 1 GHz. The display has a diagonal of 3.5 “and resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (using the capacitive sensor technology). This handset has 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB ROM. Lovers will appreciate the presence of photo 5-megapixel image sensor with autofocus. Ample opportunities are provided with smartphone modules HSPA +, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth. To connect the headphones provided for the standard 3.5-mm jack.
Dimensions of new items are 115 x 62,5 x 12,5 mm, weight – 135 grams. In France, the Liquid complete with 2 GB SD-card will be available at the end of the year for a suggested retail price of 350 euros. Later Acer also will launch the version with 16-GB card in the kit.
Mobile Tech World argues that the working CPU clock speed of the first Android Phone from Acer, Liquid, is only 768 MHz, although this model is based on the Snapdragon platform with 1 GHz processor. This information was obtained from the french portal Revioo.com, which, incidentally, laid out a new promotional video clip about Acer Liquid.
On the phone is loaded with widgets for Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other social networks. Separate widget opens a multimedia library.
Acer Liquid will be available in four colors: black, red and white. Issue will be held at the end of the year, probably in December.
